How To Check Bearbrick Authenticity With Hidden Tag Certification

In late 2021, Medicom Toy Corporation (MCT) began incorporating Hidden Tag technology into their authentic BEARBRICK products. Each genuine BEARBRICK now features a QR code that can be verified using the Hidden Tag App. Available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store. This advancement enhances product authentication, allowing collectors to confirm the BEARBRICK authenticity.

The Hidden Tag system employs digital watermarking technology, embedding unique identifiers into the QR codes. When scanned with the Hidden Tag App, these codes provide instant verification of authenticity, offering peace of mind to collectors and combating the proliferation of counterfeit products. This method is more secure than traditional QR codes, which are open-source and susceptible to forgery.

To verify a BEARBRICK authenticity, download the Hidden Tag App, scan the QR code on the product, and follow the on-screen instructions. The app will confirm whether the item is genuine, ensuring that collectors can trust the authenticity of their BEARBRICK figures.
